11. Day 26: 100 Reasons Why Feedback Is Love Too
Yesterday I wrote about a recent experience with some negative feedback I had received. Getting negative feedback is as helpful as getting positive feedback but it often doesn’t feel like that at first. Sometimes feedback makes you crazy or angry or hurt. Sometimes it makes you want to run, flee or change your name. I needed a list to help me remember when I am stuck in the deafening place of not remembering that love is present so I asked Holy Spirit to show me how feedback (all kinds) is love too. 100 Reasons Why Feedback Is Love Too The Universe is kind. I am actually asking for...

Here is a new way to notice, receive and welcome all that is happening around you. It is ALL feedback. It is information of one kind or another that lets you know if you are on target. The trick is, you get to set the target or goal. If your goal is to be at peace, finish college, run to the end of the block or reorganize your office everything that happens around you can be considered feedback or a reflection of your intention or lack thereof. If you are feeling peace, joy and love you are ON course; if you are feeling angst, misery and loneliness then you are OFF course. It is not...

One of the things that dissuades me from fully inhabiting success is the feeling that I would have to leave something or someone behind and I never like to leave anyone (or anything if my garage is anything to go on) behind. Like the success principle I referred to yesterday about letting go of negative people in your life helps move you toward your own positivity and success. But perhaps there is something else going on. Me: Holy Spirit, please speak to this worry of mine that someone or something will be left out or hurt if success is present. HS: Be still my beating heart. Fear not...

I have come across the very accepted idea relating to success that in order to maintain and nurture positive thinking look closely at who you associate with because this affects your own positive thinking. While this is, indeed, true, that you can be and are affected by negativity in your midst I must add my own experience with this. While I completely agree that you can be and are influenced by those around you including the popular idea “You are the five people you spend the most time with” in my experience the biggest influence is how much time you spend with your own heart,...

I discovered during my new poetry class that I no longer fear the judgment of the editing process. I still feel tentative in my editing however and would like to know more about this process and how to go about it without being mired in self doubt and overthink. Is this possible or does the process just allow more to come up for healing? HS: Precious One, “Come along with me, the best is yet to be.” These words from your own sundial are your reminder that you are just beginning in your quest to know your heart fully. It is a life quest and one that will continue to fill you...

Since learning to extend love to my fear of success has to include the opportunity for success (and failure), I signed up for a poetry class at the Crocker Art Museum. Poetry is very near and dear to my heart because this was the first way I was conscious of my heart voice and the Holy Spirit speaking to me. It was so unusual to find my self writing poetry it really grabbed my attention. Since those early days I find myself drawn to expressing through poetry the thoughts, feelings and revelations I can’t otherwise capture. Up until now I have never really read my poetry aloud in a...
