Self Love Has The Greatest ROI
I am beginning to realize the many gifts of the wedding season of last year. Now that I have rested, regrouped and breathed deeply into this new year I can look back in great wonder. I was guided again and again into Self Love as the answer to my overwhelm, my tired, my juggling……..and it worked every time. The ROI (Return On Investment) of Self Love is surely more than 100% if that is even possible to measure. I have mentioned before how much Spirit loves to speak to my heart through poetry. These two poems somehow answered...

“Allowing non-citizen’s to vote??! What?! Did I hear that right?” I was certain I misread a news feed but, sadly, it was true. There is a growing push in some quarters to legalize voting for non-citizens in the USA. Apparently it has already begun in California while I was busy preparing for a our daughter’s wedding last fall. I had promised myself to stay well away from the politics of the US Presidential election this year, because no matter what I could say it would be polarizing. I could feel the indignant...

There I was, minding my own business on Facebook (I must pause here to make the most obvious observation…..I was actually minding everyone else’s business, or at least the business they cared to post) and the sofa I had been lusting after at One King’s Lane (a yummy furniture and decorating auction site) popped up as a sponsored link on Facebook! “What??! How did they know that was the exact sofa I wanted??” I exclaimed. John said “Cookies.”, without even looking up from his computer. Cookies? I...

I have a secret. I adore twenty-somethings. I love that they don’t wear watches (why would you, the phone tells the time), make only soft plans (again because the phone is used as homing device for both time and space), and are following their hearts because they literally can’t do anything else. They have the world at their fingertips, are amazingly aware of the plights of others and don’t know that having a job was their parents secret reason for making sure they went to college. I love that they express themselves...

I have just finished a teleconference call with Jack Canfield (you remember my buddy I walked with during my month of extending love to my fear of success) and branding expert Nick Nanton (who I only know through email updates) about publishing a best-selling book. It seemed harmless enough to listen to the call. I mean, how could I not listen to find out how I could publish a best-selling book with Jack Canfield. It is a program, it turns out, to quietly, yet honestly, manufacture a best-selling (this best-selling moniker is the key and...

After a few busy days last week I crawled into my coaching appointment barely able to breathe. I noted that two busy days in a row put me right back where I was in the middle of December waking up in the middle of the night crying. So. What gives? My coach looks at me with her gorgeous, blue, intuitive eyes and says “What about 90 day Program to Refresh-Restore-Renew-Reconnect?” I sighed since I knew she was right on the money. I somehow thought taking a few naps in January would do the trick. As my dear coach said, “It...

Through the months of visitors, year end business and the preparation for my daughter’s wedding when I thought I would expire trying to do seventeen-things-at-once I would promise myself this “I will nap the entire month of January”. I regularly began my days at 4am just to get some quiet time before the day erupted in activity and the dance of decision, what held me together was the lure of giving myself January to recover, revive and recalibrate. Holy Spirit provided some handy reminders in the form of a drippy head cold,...

A little under six months ago I returned with great delight to my blog with amazing ideas and plans for my writing………….and then there was a wedding. This does not mean I got distracted or busy or overwhelmed (although all of these happened) this means that I was privileged to be a part of an incredible creation project not unlike the creation of a new life you experience in pregnancy. When I look at my calendar, to-do lists, journal entries and the bags under my eyes I am inclined to give myself 2016 OFF completely...
read more5 Steps to a Modern Day Miracle: The Hundred Year Sort
Forget the loaves and the fishes, that is yesterday’s miracle. Feeding five thousand seemed like child’s play when we looked at the mammoth task of sorting through the contents of our garage. What we needed was a miracle TODAY, right now, immediately. With or without loaves or fishes. Time to extend love . This sorting through belongings touches me deeply and hits on all the usual fears (fear of letting go, fear of not knowing what to do, fear of success if we actually do let go etc). Just the word belonging lets you know why...
