I was looking through an old journal and came across this yummy quote from A Course In Miracles which is a wonderful way to describe seeing myself as I really am, not just as one wearing the tiredness cloak of my creation.
“237. Now would I be as God created me.
Today I will accept the truth about myself. I will arise in glory, and allow the light in me to shine upon the world throughout the day. I bring the world the tidings of salvation which I hear as God my Father speaks to me. And I behold the world that Christ would have me see, aware it ends the bitter dream of death; aware it is my Father’s Call to me.
[Christ] is my eyes today, and He the ears that listen to the Voice for God today. Father I come to You through Him Who is Your Son, and my true Self as well.”————Workbook Lesson 237, A Course In Miracles
I wrote these poems which continue to speak to my heart about listening to Love and that Love IS who I am:
“As God Created Me”
Obedience cannot replace love
Love is what you are
obedience is what you
think you are
Obedience is to worship
what joy is to love
an expression of one to the other
Obedience doesn’t lead to
Love but love can lead to obedience
Joy is how Love worships—
by extending the loving hand
to everyone to include in itself
“Now would I be as God created me.”
It says with a smile,
“Now would you be as I created you?”
“Sculpture Or Sculptor”
I don’t know what this feeling is
this breathless buzzing,
this heart pounding space
of uncertain certainty
that I seem to inhabit.
Is this how God created me?
A mere lump of body clay
cannot disguise my purpose
or being, unless I fix
my eyes on the sculpture
not the Sculptor.
Am I the one
that connects them both?
