8. Day 5: 100 Reasons Not-Knowing Is My Friend

Dearest Holy Spirit, please open my heart and mind to the ways to practice extending love and being in the not-knowing without fear. Help me to see this as Friend. (Holy Spirit loves speaking to me in lists) 100 Reasons Why Not-Knowing Is My Friend I don’t know everything I can rest in that acknowledgment I don’t have to know everything I don’t have to find somebody else who does know I can be at peace while not-knowing therefore not-knowing cannot hurt me Not-knowing releases me from specific outcomes Not-knowing is a store of all possibilities Jesus faced & befriended not-knowing So,...

8. Day 4: Not-Knowing IS….

I feel bubbly, jittery, nervous and swirly.  The rapid staccato strobe light effect is like having my heart on speed boil. I need to express it all and just allow the flow so balance and peace may return to my awareness.  I can barely calm down with all that is going on (of the happiest variety, flying to LA for a conference, prepping for our departure soon to UK, a wedding etc).  Help and guide me into peace now. My walk helped tremendously.  It allowed the nervous energy to move through me and left me open to hear the Holy Spirit.  These thoughts came to me during the walk. HS:...

8. Day 3: Let The Mystery Know You

I love a good mystery.  Why is that so?  If I fear not-knowing, why would I love mystery?  What is it about mystery stories that makes us love them? 1.  It will all work out in the end. 2. This is actually one of the reasons you keep reading my blog–mystery.  You...

8. Day 2: The Little House In The Woods

Let’s get comfortable for a moment with not-knowing something.  Think of something you don’t know (how a TV works or what is that fuzzy bit of lump in the bottom of your handbag or if your work is really satisfying) and just notice how you feel.  Do you want to ferret around in your bag and get that thing OUT?  Do you want to Google ‘TV’ and see if they can explain how the color dots fly through the air and into your set?  Is you mind now wondering why you ever decided owning a business was a good idea?  Or can you just be quiet and welcome not-knowing? Let’s do...

8. Day 1: Not-Knowing Feels Vulnerable

After an epic month of honesty it is time for quiet of a different flavor.  Now it is time to open up to a new month’s focus of extending love.  What is coming to me is extending love to not-knowing.  There are so many things (to infinity really) I don’t know.  I strive, struggle, hope for, wheedle, beg, demand, need …….TO KNOW.  I have always wanted to know ‘why’ and ‘how’ and ‘who’; I want to know what’s next, what’s for dinner and why does my toe itch?  I am constantly in a state of negotiation with Knowing trying to...
